Take the Caltrain, not BART
San Bruno has both BART and Caltrain, and the direct Caltrain is the one you want. Ten minutes, two stops. Routing via BART to Millbrae is a southward detour that adds time for no benefit — that interchange is useful if you are already on BART from San Francisco or the East Bay, not if you live in San Bruno.
One thing to check before you set off: San Bruno is a Local-only stop, with 75 weekday trains rather than the 104 that all-pattern stations get. There are fewer departures to choose from.
From San Mateo station it is about a 15-minute walk to us.
Driving is 7.3 miles, almost entirely US-101 via the 101 Spur, with free parking when you arrive.

Fewer people work from home in San Bruno than in most of the communities we serve — around 18 percent. For most patients here, an appointment means arranging time away from work, and that changes what matters: a fixed start time, parking you do not have to hunt for, and a practice that runs to schedule.
We schedule individually. There is no queue, and no waiting room churn. If you are planning treatment on the same day as your consultation, tell us when you book so we can allow the time.
What San Bruno patients come for
Botox and Dysport and dermal fillers are the majority of it. We use Dysport preferentially, and our fillers are hyaluronic acid based and therefore reversible. Laser hair removal, IPL and peels are also available.

Central Silicon Valley, without the drive into San Francisco
Many people on the Peninsula assume the good options are in San Francisco, and that getting there means bridge traffic and a garage. We are in the middle of the Peninsula, reachable from Interstate 280 or US-101, with private on-site parking at no cost. San Mateo Caltrain station is 0.80 miles away, about a 15-minute walk.

MD Laser and Cosmetics was founded in 2006 and has been at this San Mateo address for over 18 years. Your consultation is with Dr. Susan Lin herself, trained in obstetrics and gynecology and practising since 1991. She is fluent in Mandarin. She performs every treatment personally. Most patients come for Botox, Dysport and dermal fillers, with an emphasis on natural results. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00, by appointment. The $150 new-patient consultation is applied toward same-day treatment, in person or by video.

How long should I allow?
For Botox or Dysport, the appointment itself is short and there is no downtime. Allow for the journey either side — about ten minutes on the train plus a 15-minute walk, or around fifteen minutes driving without traffic.
