One Stop From Millbrae — the Easiest Place on the Peninsula to Reach Us From
Millbrae Station is the BART and Caltrain cross-platform interchange at 200 N Rollins Road, and it makes Millbrae the best-connected city we serve.
San Mateo is the very next stop
Five minutes, non-stop, on a Limited or Express. Seven on a Local, with one stop at Burlingame. There are 52 southbound weekday departures, from 05:16 in the morning through to 00:26 at night.
Cross the platform from BART and you are on it. Millbrae has the highest transit-to-work share of anywhere we serve — 7.5 percent — so this is a genuine option here, not a decorative one. BART parking at Millbrae is $3.40 a day, and it is the nearest BART station to us by a wide margin: 4.0 miles, against 7.8 at San Bruno and 10.9 at South San Francisco.
Driving is straightforward too — 4.0 miles, and free parking when you arrive.
Laser and IPL on different skin types
Worth saying plainly, because it is a clinical matter rather than a marketing one: laser hair removal and IPL photofacial settings have to be matched to your skin type. Wavelength, fluence and pulse duration are not the same for every patient, and getting this wrong on deeper skin tones risks burns or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation rather than a good result.
Dr. Lin has treated a wide range of skin types since 1991 and assesses this at consultation before any laser or light-based treatment.

Many people on the Peninsula assume the good options are in San Francisco, and that getting there means bridge traffic and a garage. We are in the middle of the Peninsula, reachable from Interstate 280 or US-101, with private on-site parking at no cost. San Mateo Caltrain station is 0.80 miles away, about a 15-minute walk.

MD Laser and Cosmetics was founded in 2006 and has been at this San Mateo address for over 18 years. Your consultation is with Dr. Susan Lin herself, trained in obstetrics and gynecology and practising since 1991. She is fluent in Mandarin. She performs every treatment personally. Most patients come for Botox, Dysport and dermal fillers, with an emphasis on natural results. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00, by appointment. The $150 new-patient consultation is applied toward same-day treatment, in person or by video.
