MD Laser & Cosmetics, established in 2006, is a physician-led medical spa in San Mateo, California, founded by Dr. Susan Lin, M.D. — a board-certified physician with over 35 years of experience in women’s health, anti-aging, and aesthetic medicine.

Meet Dr. Susan Lin, M.D.

Dr. Lin has trained at some of the top institutions in the U.S., including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Kaiser Permanente Oakland. She has served as:
- Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Medicine
- Expert Reviewer for the Medical Board of California
- Strategic Board Member at MIT’s McGovern Institute for Brain Research
- Board Member of multiple local non-profit organizations supporting women and youth
She holds multiple U.S. and internatioal patents in lash and hair growth technology and has authored medical journal publications and chapters in medical reference texts on hair restoration and feminine rejuvenation with regenerative stem cell technology. Dr. Susan Lin is a contributing author to Harry’s Cosmeticology, Ninth Edition—a leading technical reference in cosmetic science featuring 150 international experts. She authored two chapters: “Eyelashes: Anatomy and Conditioners for Increasing Length and Fullness/Thickness” (Vol 2 pp. 480–486) and a chapter on feminine rejuvenation (Vol 3 pp. 549–560), reflecting her expertise at the intersection of aesthetic medicine and personal care science.
