In 2013, Dr. Susan Lin, CEO of La Canada Ventures, contacted the Commercial Service office in San Francisco for assistance in identifying viable business partners in several overseas markets and to acquire insight on market opportunities and challenges in the cosmetics industry abroad.

In 2014, La Canada Ventures participated in the U.S. Pavilion at the Hair Brazil trade show and also utilized the Commercial Service’s Gold Key matchmaking program for several markets in South and Central America. As a result of Commercial Service introductions to key players in these markets, La Canada Ventures signed distributor agreements in Brazil, Costa Rica, Panama and Costa Rica. The company is now exploring new markets in Asia and Eastern Europe and continues to utilize the various export programs available through the U.S. Commercial Service.
